Days of Summer: 14
Hello, KL, sweet KL!
It’s definitely been quite some time, hasn’t it? Been a while since I last surrendered myself to the hustle and bustle of the big city (I actually quite like it), and what better way to commemorate and spend one of my very first few days back at home than to go on a full-fledged girly day out with the ever so lovely Ili Elfeera, whom I’ve missed so much and haven’t seen for the past nine months whilst I was in the UK, sans our cross-continental Skype dates and yes, I practically find that rather blasphemous.
So I put a turquoise flower in my hair (literally) and dived straight into the heart of KL, or Pavilion in particular, for some good long-awaited quality time with the best friend, where we discussed table topics at the swanky Ben’s: if there was something she wished she could see from her bedroom window, anything at all whatsoever, it would be the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Elysees, indulged in decadent cocoa goodness with Miss Coco – in other words, Belgian dark chocolate – Frappes at the Theobroma chocolate lounge, oohed and aahed over Stage cosmetics (so very proud of it being a local brand!) and the ridiculous two for twenty ringgit sale they were having for their products which usually costed more than a hefty fifty. The beauty goodies even came in such adorable names like Diva Doll! Yes, names and packaging play a huge part in regards to my choice of cosmetics, admittedly. We then wrapped it up with a little chat and some pictures over soothing Moroccan mint green tea – a lovely end to a lovely day out in the city.
C’est la vie, baby. This really is summer.
The best friend, because she is as special as she is beautiful.
