The city lights. The enchanting nights. Delectably savouring the understated sweetness of nothing but presence, and the present, the fragrant liberty of being in a place so wonderfully foreign, yet so heartwarmingly familiar. Seemingly endless, it ensconces us in its resplendent shell, and we willingly lose ourselves with wild, decadent abandon, in everything and in each other. All in the midst of la belle lumière, twinkling beguilingly around us, enveloping us in a mesmerising dance of captivation. It is enrapturing. It is beautiful. It is sublime.

Work is more or less taking up most of my time these days, and to such an extent whereby I hardly have any time left for myself, much less writing or indulging in my other interests outwith work. Suffice to say, it can get substantially taxing at times, and all I want to do post-long day at work is to simply curl up languorously like a feline under those infinitely cosy covers, and wind down. A good read or film optional, the beau preferred – if he wasn’t (almost) three thousand miles away, of course. On a brighter note, it’s such invaluable experience I can never get anywhere else at this point in time, so it’s something certainly worth cherishing.
On an even brighter note – and as radiant as the sun, I’ve booked my flight to China come next month! Excited, is an understatement. A massive understatement. It’s a relatively short trip, as compared to my month-long ones in the UK back then, but it’s still a trip nonetheless. And it’ll be magnificent one at that. Just in time to satiate the delicious wanderlust brewing in me, which seems to be increasing exponentially by the day.
Digressing, and quelling said wanderlust – for now.
As per usual, given recent times, I tend to update Instagram much more frequently than this sanctuarial (is there such a word? – either way, you get my drift) space of mine, which demands a very significant amount of time and effort to be put in before something can actually come to fruition, unlike wham, bam, Instagram! So follow me here to keep completely up to date with what I’m up to. That being said, I’ll still be writing as there’s not much that can top the fulfilment of seeing an actual post come together. It’s something I’m sure most writers and bloggers (and people who generally enjoy writing) can agree on.
Part the seas, don’t be havin’ me in the line.
My darling Ili Elfeera finally launched her much-awaited and highly-exclusive online accessory boutique, Mosaic Bijoux just last night, offering limited, handpicked pieces from all over Asia. Eastern pride, baby – you know it. And I was given the absolute honour to front her debut campaign. Once again, thank you, Instagram. Oh, what would I do without you?
