So I finally took the liberty to allot some time to change my entire blog template! Needless to say, it did take quite a bit of time to configure and customise (almost) everything to my liking as I’m not one to settle for default templates – I guess you could say I’m quite individualistic or perfectionistic that way. Either way, I’m pretty satisfied with what I’ve done so far – only a few more things to personalise and fine-tune and it’ll be good to go. Besides, as meticulous as I am or may be, I’ve to say the default template already looks and works wonderfully, plenty of credits to the very talented designer!
What today was made of ; working and writing on the MacBook, the ever essential iPhone, finishing up Guilty Pleasures by Tasmina Perry, a very good read (and by very good I usually mean descriptive) on a luxury goods company and the industry as a whole, and finding inspiration. Urban Decay Naked lipgloss in Freestyle for a slight sheen on an otherwise bare face for when I went out to run errands later in the afternoon, Butter London Nail Foundation, Versace Yellow Diamond, and some bijoux for accents.
Today was more or less spent focusing on and giving my blog some much-needed TLC, especially with the brand new layout following a commitment to write regularly. The beau and I have decided to make a habit out of getting up early in the morning even on weekends (unless it happened to be a late, late night) – and by early I mean 6 a.m. – when the air is freshest and the atmosphere quietest, mainly to be productive and get things done before coffee and breakfast, be it in an LDR or non-LDR. Skype and FaceTime do wonders though, LDRs would be absolutely nothing without them. Back to the point, we won’t actually be doing it every day per se, but on selected days. I’m not entirely sure if it’s still considered a habit then, but it’s a commitment to keep it consistent nonetheless.
I’m actually finishing this up on Sunday morning and it’s about time I made myself a steaming hot cup of coffee to officially start the day, along with some reading and perhaps a bit of pinning before I head out.
Happy June, everyone – we’ve reached the halfway mark! How are you going to make your second half of the year an unforgettable one?
